I think I am going to cheat and go to JazzFest in NOLA this year. I will have to still keep next year open, as I think that really would be kickass.
We found out Foo Fighters are playing this year at JazzFest, and since that's a band on our radar big-time and they apparently refuse to schedule a TX show anytime soon, we are talking with friends about going.
Not a chance that you two would want to come a year early? We are going the first weekend of May, if everything works out as we hope!

My brother was just talking to me about this earlier... I don't know if we'll be able to make it but it looks like they're planning a trip and I might tag along.

I would LOOOOOOVE to go. Foo Fighters put on an amazing show! (side note: I was in Seattle for training a few years ago...we were on a shuttle bus to dinner and drove past this little theatre that had a sign out saying Foo Fighters were playing that night. I scarfed down my dinner, ditched the rest of my coworkers, and bought a ticket off a scalper. Best thing ever - it was an acoustic show and only about 200 tickets had been sold. So, so awesome!)
Unfortunately though, it can't happen for us this year. My BFF is getting married two weeks before that, and between her wedding activities and the fact that my property taxes just went WAY up, no tengo dinero.
Have fun though! I need a full recap!

Wow, that is WAY cool about the Seattle show, you made a wise choice that day! I have heard they are always kickass, but I am sure the acoustic set would be so neat to hear since they are normally full on rocking it out!
Well, I thought I would check, we might end up trying to go again in 2013 depending on how it goes! I know how it goes with lack of funds, especially with weddings and such involved. I had 4 weddings last year and that used up a lot of my fun money on stuff related to those. There will be a next time, I'm sure!
