I just went to try to grab a snack and put some soda in the fridge after little one finally let me put her down and I finished a video call for work. I dropped the soda on the floor and it exploded everywhere! All in the cabinet, all over the floor, up an entire wall, and all over me. Just as I finished cleaning it up, little one wants to eat. Now I'm hungry and sticky.
Re: Can we have an FML post
Chelbel, that sucks!! Definitely a FML moment for you. Wish I could come help clean it up so you could feed the LO and then maybe have some you time.
Christmas was my FML moment as I had the stomach flu...fortunately nobody else got it.
Chelbel, I'm sorry. I probably would've started to cry.
My moment was similar to glitter except it was NYE that I got the stomach flu at my in-laws and spent the whole night heaving.
I had to laugh, these kinds of things happen to me all the time! I'm a bit of a klutz. At our housewarming party in our first apartment I dropped a covered bowl of watermelon as I went to put it in the fridge. I never knew how much watermelon could explode! It was in every bit of the fridge, from one end of the kitchen to the other, and all over me. The only thing I could do was laugh with all my friends.

Alli, since DH is a professor and I'm working at the university as well, I can tell you that their offices are dead during school breaks, and professors don't like to work in general when it's admin stuff.
I assume you probably need to get things taken care of before the semester starts. Be persistent. Call their offices. And go in and talk to the admin people (they are always much more helpful!) to see if what you can do while you're waiting to speak with the professors.
It will work out soon, don't get too discouraged! The first few weeks are always intimidating and hectic. Soon it'll just be classes to worry about!
And for the FML, food related version:
The day before my wedding in Italy, I was making espresso for my family on the stove. As I was leaning right over the thing, trying to figure out why it was taking so long, it exploded in my face. The two pieces burst apart, shattering a ceramic vase next to the stove and shooting coffee grinds and hot water everywhere, including my face.
My whole family was in the kitchen at the time. They all thought I was going to be blinded and bloody. Luckily it was more of just a caffeine facial. Not even red by the afternoon (I was worried about the photos the next day!).
I had shingles. Our freind couldn't come over since she hasn't had chicken pox.
