Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Fire at my IL's house :( & a warning about closet lights!
My IL had a huge fire in their house today. Luckily no one was home so no one was hurt. It started in their linen closet. It has a light that turns on & off automatically when you open & close the door. Well, apparently my MIL was in a rush this morning & didn't realize that the door wasn't properly shut & the heat of the light ignited the linen closet. This must have been going on for a while because the houses in their neighborhood are far apart, their house is reeally far from the street, there's no sidewalk & one of the neighbors noticed the smoke. There was a lot of damage to one entire side of the house & they can't stay there 
This is so scary because I always leave the light in my master closet on, never even thinking this could ever happen. So turn those lights off!
