And here comes the firetruck

My carbon monoxide monitor keeps goin off so here we sit in the car while the fine men of the Hamilton fire dept investigate. Amazing response. I barely got the kids into the car before they arrived.

  • Do you have someplace you can stay tonight until you can get the furnace checked out.

  • All clear. We seem to have a faulty detector. We knew it was odd because of the location of the one that was going off. But with two kids, better safe then sorry.

And now back to our regularly scheduled night. Oy!

  • we had this happen to us over the holidays...same thing, faulty detector.  glad to hear everything is OK
  • Glad to hear everything's okay! Hope the boys go back to sleep easily for you!

  • Is it 5 years old or so? The model we have expires after 5 years and will beep until it's taken apart. If you put new batteries in it it'll still beep. Ours kept going off, so we moved the other one to the same spot and it didn't. I looked up the manual online and discovered they automatically "die" 5 years after putting batteries in it for the first time.

I was just gonna ask this. They don't usually last more than 5-7 yrs depending on the make and model.

Glad to hear you guys are A-OK
