Need Hair ideas

I'm having my hair cut and colored on the 31st. I need ideas! I wanted to go back to an aline but FSIL wants my hair long enough to do an updo for their wedding so I don't want to cut it so short that I have to spend the next 9 months not enjoying my new style but growing it out.

This is my color and length right now. ( for those who read this and don't know me, I'm the one with the darker hair.)

long bob, chestnut brown with red low lights!  it'll still be long enough for a twist, bun, curls, etc but with a more defined line for everyday wear.

She's MAKING you have long hair so you can have an updo?   Wow, I've heard of people treating their bridesmaids like dress-up dolls, but that is honestly ridiculous. I say get your hair cut the way you want and let her deal with it.

Well she pretty much said "well whatever you want I'm sure we can make it work" but I know for a fact that it won't work with what I really want so I'm trying to be nice and leave enough that we can do what she wants and I can look the same as everyone else.

Oh that's really cute!  I'll have to take the picture with me to the hair dresser!
