Update

So DH had his spinal injections on Tuesday. They do seem to have had some affect but it is minimal. Next we have an appt with a neurosurgeon on Tuesday to see what his recommendation is in terms of surgery or continuing non-surgical treatment. Since he didn't have an injury or 'event' that caused this try think it is degeneration, so something we will have to deal with :( I guess the good news is now that we know once this is taken are of we just have to have to stick to workout schedules to keep all those muscles in the back strong and healthy. On top of all that, we are all sick! Ellie got a stomach virus at daycare and has had vomiting and diarrhea. I stayed home with her Thursday and then Thursday night I was throwing up half the night. My stomach is doing a bit better but I'm still having fever. Ugh. Not a good start to the new year!

Re: Update

  • Aw, Kel...you guys have had a rough week!  I'm sorry.  :(

I hope that you all start feeling better soon, and I hope that the neurosurgeon is able to come up with a fast, solid plan to help your H's back stop hurting so much!

  • Yes! I'm not one to complain much, but oh my gosh it HAS been a rough week!! That's exactly what we're hoping for Tuesday, a good plan. If our best option is surgery, great, bring it on! I'm ready for T not to be in pain all the time and I want him to be able to hold his baby! All I can say is thank God his boss is so understanding! He's been working from home since the holidays because he can't drive and has had to take a few sick days. I tell you, times like this make me rethink living across the country from our family/friends! It's just so hard sometimes!

I can definitely relate to this!!  When DH had his knee surgery, I couldn't help but think how nice it would've been to have family or closer friends in the area who would've come to help us out.

  • I'm sorry you've had such a rough week, Kellie.  I'm sure it is hard living so far from your family at times like this.  Hope you have a better week ahead!

  • Hopefully this week will be better and that everyone will get over their sickness and T can get some relief. That is great that his boss is understanding.

Thinking of you guys. Let us know how it goes.
