Dora the Explorer fiesta themed appetizers
DD's birthday is coming up and we are looking at having a party in the afternoon. I was wondering if anyone had some good apps. The venue we are looking at does not have access to a kitchen, so everything needs to be made ahead of time. I have several crockpots and can bring a cooler to keep things cold. We are having cake, but probably skipping ice cream.
So far we've been thinking about having different salsas, layered dip, and homemade tortilla chips and fruit salsa with cinnamon chips. I was thinking about going with fiesta themed foods. I'm not sure what to add that will go together. Ideas?

I am actually starting to plan a Dora/fiesta as well! I lov ethe fruit salsa with cinnamon chips!
Other ideas:
rotel/cheese dip in a small crock pot
I saw an awesome corn/black bean salad on pinterest
guacamole
limeade (instead of margaritas)
If you wanted to make a taco or nacho bar, you could put taco/nacho meat in crock pot, and then have shells or chips/lettuce/tomato/cheese/sour cream/tac sauce/jalepenos
veggie platter with spicy ranch dip
tropical fruit skewers (papaya, mango, pineapple) - some cut into stars like on Dora
churros
Sounds fun though! Def keep me posted!
