NEW TO ALAMOSA

Hello,

We are new Alamosa and have 3 small kids. I am looking for activities to do during the day with the children. Can anyone recommend and fun things to do? They are ages 5, 2 and 8 months so they are a little small for hiking and outdoor activities. Anyone know of any music classes, play groups, or fun educational things for kids to do during the day? I saw that the library has a story time which we will most likely do. Thanks,

Gina

Re: NEW TO ALAMOSA

  • Unfortunately most all of us are in Denver, Springs or Ft Collins. I think we have one or two on the Western Slope.
  • My Sister-in-law lives in Villa Grove-towards Salida and near the sand dunes- which is an hour or so away and has a 6 year old girl and 5 year old boy. She teaches at the elementary school in Sawatch. I don't really know what all there is to do in Alamosa, Salida is a good artsy town and has good kayaking on the Arkansas if you're in to that. There is an awesome hot springs pool near the sand dunes that is a lot of fun...I wish I could remember the name of it.
