Alright...I am noticing more and more when I look in the mirror, which is new to me. I don't hate them, don't really even dislike them, I feel as though I have earned them; however, I wouldn't mind slowing them down.
So...what do you use? I specifically mean the ones around the eyes and mouth.
[ Back story in case you are interested: I moisturize daily with the redness reducing cream by clinique and am working on finding a new SPF because the one I was using has stopped cooperating with my skin. I tend towards clinique products, so if you have used their age-defying stuff, lemme know what you did and didnt like. (I don't use them because I love spending $$$, I use them because I have extremely problematic and super sensitive skin, super super sensitive). ]
Price is a concern, I rather not spend more than $50, especially not for a trial run. I cannot use those buffer things like clairsonics, they destroy my skin. Seriously.
Ideas? Even if I may not be able to use your products, lemme know what you use, it will help me narrow my field since I am new to this whole age defying thing.
Re: Wrinkles
I'm glad you asked this. I'm in the same boat.
A while back I did a bunch of research online and I remember some reputable sources saying that products with retinol or retin-A in them were the only ones proven to do anything. (See this story.) That's as far as I got.
Well, that is not good news for me since I am allergic to retinol/retin-a. Boo.

Oh crap. Yeah... I'm just trying to figure out a way for my eye shadow to stop settling in my crow's feet. Not a pretty look.

neutrogena's anti aging, anti winkle line ..... try that maybe. i'm getting to an age where i have to start thinking about this i tried to minimize all the aggrivators early on (ie crew team, EARLY am workouts on the water .. hello baseball cap) but like dolly said in Steel Magnolias .. time marches on and eventually you realize its moving across your face ... EEK !
I've just been reading this with great interest. I haven't noticed any wrinkles yet (but I am a few years younger than you ladies so I know I'll be there soon too). I do have an eye cream, but I forget to use it most of the time. I'll have to put it next to my facial products so I make it part of my routine again.
When I finish the product I have I'll buy an eye firming cream from the Dermalogica line. I've been using their cleanser and moisturizer for the last few months and love them.
I've been using a wash and SPF moisturizer from whole foods - skin organics? And hats. Nothing beats shade for sun protection. :-)
I keep meaning to try out origins. I had been using Jo Malone, but she discontinued her skin care so I'm in limbo.
She came out with a new skin care line, just FYI. I am a little addicted to Jo Malone lately....it is besides clinique Happy and Happy Heart the only perfumes I can wear. Well, some of them. I am loving Pomagranite Noir, it was given to my by DH's (my favorite of his aunts) aunt for Christmas. She also got me the red rose bath oil....devine...and them layered is delicious!
