Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I'm so sad right now :(
I know many of you "know" Vito, my sister's bulldog. he turned 13 last month and has been a huge part of our family since he was just weeks old.
he's been steadily declining the past few weeks and has been having seizures and other terrible things happen to him. as a last resort, they put him on a steroid on thursday and friday, when we were there, things seemed to look a little better, so we thought we had a few more weeks.
well, they're on the way to the hospital now. today was a terrible, terrible day for him and they're sure that this is it. my parents and my brother are meeting them there, but i seriously can't do it. i'm crying so hard right now and i just think if i go i'll be way worse.
i spent some good quality time with him on friday, so I'm happy about that. and I know he defied the odds by living this long, so for that we are also thankful.
i miss him already

oh no, I'm sorry.
it's only Jan 15 and I already know at least 5 people whose pets have passed away this year. so heartbreaking.

I honestly think that you're doing the right thing by not running there right now. You're mixing up your emotions right now by thinking of how your father will be. Stick with your original gut reaction. Mourn at home
