Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you buy someone a gift that needs batteries do you buy the batteries too? Also if you have 2 kids do you spend more on a gift? Thanks!

it depends...if i am one of few people there, then yes, i will buy the batteries on the assumption that the kid will want to play with the toy to keep them occupied...if its a big party, if i remember to, then yes i will, but i wouldn't make a special trip bc the kid is probably not going to touch the toy for a while...
i usually don't even think about buying batteries. i figure most people have a stash of batteries in their house. i probably would if it were a cheap gift and less than what i wanted to spend though.
i don't spend more having 2 kids, but i've never brought both to a party that would end up costing the host more or anything either. when they're older i could see having them each pick out something a bit smaller.
