I am thinking of getting one for DH for his birthday in a few weeks
(yes, I know we are way behind on video game technology for not having
one yet, lol). Do you think it would be OK to buy a refurbished one?
They are a good bit cheaper than buying brand new so I could get him an
extra game or something. Now that Natalie is older too I think it could
be a fun family thing. If you have one, what games do you recommend
(adult and/or kid stuff)?

Re: If you have a Wii...
We like the Mario games so if I get a game console it will be the Wii. I have heard lots of great things about the Kinect too though! I have pretty much decided on this since I don't really have any other ideas, lol.

Vacation, 2011
I'm personally nervous about buying refurbished electronics having been burned a few times, but I know a lot of people who do buy them so it's probably fine. We just got a Wii a few months ago and Julia loves playing Mariokart. Otherwise DH has Smash Brothers Brawl and two other games I'm not familiar with (I'm not a game person lol!), all of which are only allowed to be played with the kids are asleep.
We're hoping to get Just Dance and Wii sports, but will wait until we live somewhere without people beneath us before doing that since it's unfair to subject neighbors to that much noise.
