Who Has the Roomba?

that circular vacuum cleaner that is kind of a robot.  If you have one, do you recommend it?  Thinking of buying one to run in the baby's room.

Re: Who Has the Roomba?

  • i do and i love it...we use it in each room during the week that the cleaning lady doesn't come...
  • We used to (it broke and we never got around to fixing/replacing it).  I loved it.

  • We do and we love it.
  • We did for about a year. Then the pieces started breaking, and it became too much of a hassle to fix/replace.
  • We have it. But everything needs to be picked up off the floor or it will suck it up or get stuck. Also if you have any throw rugs with any kind of fringe or tassels it will try and suck that up too. I program ours to vacuum when we're not home otherwise CJ chases it around.
  • We do and we love it as well, but it doesn't really like our shag carpet in the family room - other than that, we have all hardwood floors and it's great at keeping up with the fur from our two cats - it's actually amazing at how much it picks up and it definitely helps between really good cleanings to minimize the dirt, cat hair and dust.

  • we're on our second one. our first one broke, and they changed them so much that we just bought a new one instead of fixing it.

i really like it... but it doesnt totally replace a regular vaccum. We have a dog, so its nice to run it a couple days a week to pick up some of his hair when i don't feel like dragging out the regular vaccum. i loved the old one when we had our house on the market, because we ran it every day so they floors were always nice if somebody randomly stopped by to see the house.

  • I did until it broke, lol. I LOVED It - we have berber carpet and tile, so it was perfect and I loved that it went under the furniture which I would never, ever clean underneath.  If you have a longer pile on the rug or an area rug I'd think twice - it did used to catch on the area rug, although maybe the new ones are better.
