Breast removal surgery: a request for t/p/j

My best friend and soul mate Sandra is undergoing a mastectomy this morning at 9am.  Some of you from the Knot 2007 will remember that she got BC 7mos before my 05/07 wedding.

After 5 years of bi-annual scans, and three with questionable cells (one of which resulted in a 2hr biopsy last July) she has made the decision to have it removed.  I am nervous for the surgery but elated that she came to the decision for several reasons.

If you have a spare 5 seconds this morning, please lift up some guidance to the surgeons for a successful surgery and healing thoughts for her. TIA!

If the family were a fruit, it would be an orange, a circle of sections, held together but separable - each segment distinct. ~Letty Cottin Pogrebin
