f/u toddler on oxygen
Thank you for the tpj from my original post. (DD 18 months, got pnemonia and put on antibiotics and oxygen at home).
She ended up being on the oxygen for a week. She tolerated it really well and didn't pull on it too much or get tangled up in it hardly at all. I don't know how, but it just worked out. She did get it around her neck once in bed when she pulled it all the way off her face, but I was checking on her enough that I didn't freak out about it. The only time it really upset her was when she would be running around and get stuck on something or when we would have to wipe her nose and put it back in.
I had to send her to a half day of school once with the portable tank and that worked out fine too once we got the doctor's note figured out. Her teachers kept her occupied with activities where they were sitting still and she was happy to see the other kids again. If anything, the part that upset her the most was having to stay home all the time. Once morning she brought me her coat and shoes like she was ready to go.
