Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

My two angels
Pages is the word processing app for Mac. Did your computer come with iWork? If so, you'd have it already.
or you can download openoffice for mac for free.
With both you just have to do a Save As>Word doc, if you want to be able to view it in Word on other computers
I guess it depends on how much you're going to use it & what you're using it for, as to whether you should just get MS Office or not.
