Birth Control

Has anyone tried Mirena??

Or do you have suggestions for other BC?

Re: Birth Control

  • I had a friend who uses Mirena and really likes it. I use Beyaz...and I LOVE it. I've been on a few different kinds of pills because I get horrible migraines. And we tried switching around...but Beyaz is the best fit for me. No weight gain (but i never have on any pills before). Clears up my face & prevents any breakouts. And has a short period...just 4 "sugar" pills. And it lightens your period.

But birth control is different for everyone, as you probably know. Switching around trying to figure out what works well with your body sucks. But, youll find a good match :) Good Luck!!

  • yeah i have been on the pill for 10 years now, switching as my body changes. i just hate taking pills and as my schedule changes i go to bed forgetting to take it (which is when i always have taken it)

Just trying to think of other options! thank you!

  • For the past nine years, I have been mainly on condomns. There was once a time where I tried the FemCap but my cervix is located in a different position which it would slide out of position during intercourse.

Again, like everyone else said. Try different methods and see which ones work for you. Good luck and happy baby-preventing!

  • I think it depends on your body. I cannot take anything with estrogen, and IUDs don't work for me, so I've used Depo for 3 years, and recently switched to Implanon. It has made my cramps go away (I used to get cramps so bad that I would pass out), and it does not matter what your schedule is- Depo is good for 3 months, Implanon is good for 3 years.

If you plan to have kids in the future, though, I would no suggest Depo- it can stay in your system for a long time after you are done using it, making it harder to conceive.

  • I visit my little niece with my girl. Then I point and say that's why i got to shoot it in your eye.

    YES EVERYTIME?!
