WMA ? - PJ day at school

This is such a WMA post. W has wear your PJ's to school next Friday. Do you buy new one's? I feel weird sending him in feetie's, lol...and the only other one's he has are the 2 piece kind with tight legs and they are so thin he'll freeze. I feel like I should go get him 2 pc flannel or something but that's such a waste of money since he has a ton of pj's.

I can't believe I'm even asking for advice about this. Embarrassed

  • TJ is a bit younger but I send him in feeties with sneakers over the feet until he gets to school.  Unless it's playground type weather then 2 piece with sneakers..

  • last year, Kieran was not permitted to wear the fee tie kind because they had to wear sneakers-

  • If they're going out that day, I would get thicker pjs (or just put him in sweats and a pj top).  If it's too cold, my kids daycare doesn't send them out though, so it doesnt' really matter if their on the thinner side.  I LOVE pj day!  So much easier for me!

  • They did PJ day at A's school in the fall so his regular 2 piece ones were ok. I would check w/ the teacher if they'll be outside at all that day and if footie PJs are ok. If they're indoors for the day, he'll probably be fine in either option. No need to go out and get new stuff. If they'll be outside, can he wear his pajama top w/ a pair of sweatpants on bottom?

  • I'm willing to bet that he can't wear footies at his age, he needs to have regular shoes on. i always jsut sent him in whatever was clean. He won't freeze.

  • I send K in the two piece ones, always a pair that I wouldn't mind if she ruined. They play HARD and one time I made the mistake of letting her go in a pair she loved. They got tossed due to a huge hole in the leg when we got home.

Luckily PJ days lately have fallen on warmer days so she's fine with the tight two piece ones. If it was a colder day I'd layer her. Of course she no longer wears undershirts so I don't know what exactly I'd use to layer her with...

  • Ryan & Keira just had their pajama day and they both wore the 2 piece kind and were fine.  The teachers said no feetie pajamas because they want the kids to be able to go to the bathroom easy.

  • oh and they have to wear sneakers as well so that was the other reason for no feet pajamas

  • Bella had a holiday PJ party right before Christmas - she wore 2 piece pajamas with bearpaw boots.
  • i never send my boys in footsie PJs on PJ day - b/c i wouldn't be able to stand the way shoes feel with those one - and they have to wear shoes.

I just send them in the regular 2 piece ones... the way i see it- they are not going to freeze inside- and when they go outside, they've got their jackets, mittens, etc... and if it's THAT cold they don't go out - or don't stay out long... so it's never bothered me that they wear their thinner PJs to school.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.
