Anyone have an angel care monitor or something similar?

I'm just looking for some reviews on the angel care or something similar. Thankyou!!

Re: Anyone have an angel care monitor or something similar?

  • I had it for all 3 kids. LOVED it! Can't rave enough about it. I actually gave it away a few months ago to a friend.......

  • all 3 of mine have (had) them... The twins still use theirs - mostly b/c i'll know if they climb out of the crib :)  It worked wonders when they were infants - we could sleep without worry.... and when we transitioned Griffin to a toddler bed it worked wonders b/c he knew it would beep if he got out - so he never got out - he knew to call us instead :)

one of my all-time favorite baby purchases.

don't get the one that attaches to baby... you can't use it once they are moving around= waste of money IMO.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • I highly recommend the angelcare monitor to ALL new parents...it's a must have in my book.  Bella slept in her crib since the night we brought her home from the hospital...it definitely put our mind at ease.
  • Yes, actually mine went off too :(  That night I went to BRU and picked up breathable bumpers and removed the ones we had.
  • I was going to get these, but they had an F review in the Baby Bargains book. I am going to do an audio/video monitor instead.

  • Yes. I had it an LOVED it. It really gave us peace of mind, since I tend to be anxious. I also recommend it to everyone.  I stopped using it once she was around a year though because it kept going off a lot and I could not get it to stop alarming multiple times per night. But, it was totally worth it for just the first year even! We did get a few false alarms here and there, but that didn't bother us...it was nerve-wracking when it happened, but worth a few false alarms in my opinion.

  • I used them and loved them. Highly recommend them. I also liked knowing the temp around their cribs.

  • Yes, we have it & found it useful. We still use it now, but only for the temperature read-out.

  • Thank you so much everyone, I will def add this to my registry.
  • I have one and LOVED it, by far my best baby purchase. I honestly don't know how ppl get any sleep without one, LOL. DS is now 2 and I still use it periodically when I worry about him climbing out or he's sick or something. I don't understand why baby bargains gives it an F, I completely disagree. Also, we've had some false alarms, but not many, and theres really no way to tell if they were false alarms or if he wasn't breathing. I'm fairly sure one time he wasn't breathing- we used it in his bassinet and he was right on top of the sensor so no way he could have rolled off.

  • Another huge rave for it! I honestly could NOT live without it and can't fathom why a new parent wouldn't purchase it. It's not like you can't purchase a video monitor in addition to it. It puts my mind at ease completely. I also don't understand the Baby Bargains rating on it....baffling...
