Only feeling baby on one side?

This baby is crammed on one side of my body (the right) and I have never ever felt it on the other side.  It's like there's a huge blanket stuffed in one side pushing the baby over to the other side, it's so weird.  WHen it kicks, I can feel it almost in my side instead of in my stomach.  Anyone else experience this?  I have an OB appointment tomorrow and I'll ask about it then, but just wondering if this is absurd or normal.

Re: Only feeling baby on one side?

  • Both my kids did this to me. It was so funny to look at my stomach because it was lopsided!! My son actually got his foot stuck in my rib...painful!

I also know what you mean about kicking on the  inside. I used to tell DH all the time that DD's kicks felt like butterflies in my stomach. He never once felt DD kick because she was turned towards my inside. She had her back pressed up ain't my belly.

  • I was just thinking the same thing, except mine is on the left. I am curious to hear what your OB says. I don't have an apt until next week.

  • Both of my kids were like this.  First off they barely moved to begin w/ which was very stressful and when they did i only felt them on one side.
  • DS was like that mostly- his foot especially, kept kicking out my right side in the same exact spot for several months. I'd also get those times when my belly got completely lopsided & you'd see his butt stick out. Aah I miss those feelings! Nothing was ever so entertaining than feeling & watching him him move around.
