if you m/c'd early on (I'm 7.5 wks) What happens next?
do they have you pass everything naturally? Its so early. Whats the normal process here?
All I know is I have to get an u/s tomorrow and possibly into the drs office.
Re: if you m/c'd early on (I'm 7.5 wks) What happens next?
I had a m/c early on. About 8 weeks. I passed it on my own at home. Called the doc and went in the next morning to get the u/s to confirm.
After the m/c passed, I had my period for a few days. Heavier than normal. The worst cramps were the ones right before the m/c.
I am so sorry.
I had a D&C earlier at 6.5 weeks but I think he did it because I just kept freaking out and checking myself into the ER.....I was young and thought there was something they could do. Emotionally I couldn't wait.
Vibes to you.
sounds like me. I'm hoping that thats how they'll treat this. I don't want to have to go into the hospital again. To be honest I don't know what they could do, it seems like everything has come out.

I'm sure this will hit me later. But I'm just so grateful this happened early on.

I had a choice to wait it out or to do a D&C at 7 weeks. After the procedure I had to go back every few days for them to check my HCG's. Once they were back, or near zero my period came and then I was instructed to wait one full cycle before trying again.
I'm so sorry this is happening. Hugs to you. Please take good care of yourself as you heal emotionally and physically.
It truly is the most magical place on earth! Disney 2011
I don't have answers b/c my recent m/c was an ectopic so I had to have surgery.
But sending you vibes. I'm going through the exact same thing right now. I know how rough this is after everything else that happened. Not as devastating but still emotional and frustrating.
It is like we are living parallel lives of suck.
My situation was very similar to Rachel's. I was suppose to be 9 wk. 6 days, but was measuring 6 wk. 3 days when they did the ultrasound after I started spotting. To be honest, if Rachel hadn't posted her m/c story, I would have probably been back in the ER that night. They cramping was bad- both in my lower abdomen and my back for about 36 hours with very heavy bleeding. By 9 days out, it was all done.
Not fun, and I wish the ER had given me something stronger for the discomfort. Huge hugs!
I am so sorry... I m/c at 5w5d and found out at 9 weeks - nothing happened on its own, just no fetal pole on ultrasound.
I had 3 options: D&C in hospital, D&C in office, or "naturally" with help of a drug. I was cautioned that doing it naturally carried a higher risk for infection & that it would be painful and I might not get everything out - but my OB also said the decision was completely personal and up to me. I chose D&C in the hospital (under anesthesia) and had a morning appointment, procedure was quick, I was out and home resting within a few hours. I never needed anything more than OTC pain meds (I think Advil) and the next day we went to Lancaster for the 4th of July weekend. Had some mild cramping but nothing bad - it felt good to get out and get my mind off it.
**hugs** to you, I know it sucks.
