So I typically only read Jodi Picoult and Nicolas Sparks books. However, I have pretty much read them all and Jodi Picoult only comes out with 1 new book a year
I have read the first 2 books of the Hunger Games and loved them. I just started the third.
With my new Kindle, reading has become so much fun again, and I need some new books to read. I don't think I would like any of the Twilight or HP (Sorry Cole!). I tried to read The Help, but couldn't get into it. What do you ladies suggest?

Re: I need book recs
Keep trying on the Help, it really is good!
Divergent is in the same genre/feel as Hunger Games. Also, The Maze Runner trilogy. Very good, fast-paced distopian young adult.
The Book Thief was probably my favorite book last year. World War II based, German non-jew citizens are the main characters. Deep and emotional, and very different than anything I've ever read.
Still Alice
Holes
My Goodreads link is in my siggy if you want to look at it. But my tastes are wide, as in I have no taste and will ready practically anything.
An author I really love is Margaret Atwood. She writes fiction mainly about women and their situation in the world and her work is just fascinating. Her most popular book is The Handmaid Tale, check it out.
Since you like Jodi Picoult and Nicolas Sparks, I'd suggest checking out Kristin Hannah and Richard Paul Evans. They're both really similar to what you're gonig for.
Kristin Hannah's Winter Garden is really good. RPE writes a lot of Christmas stories. The Sunflower is good and not-Christmasy. I really didn't like The Walk, which is the first in his new series, so I'd stear clear of that one.
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
I third the suggestion of Nora Roberts' Bride Quartet. She's actually one of my favorite authors, so really any of her books/trilogies. There is nothing too deep about her books, but they are fun, easy reads. I also like Kristin Hannah and Barbara Delinsky. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was really good, but a little disturbing.
I loved both the book AND the movie!
