Do you get a yearly check up?

Do you go to a regular doctor every year for a check up and bloodwork?  I was thinking of starting to do this every year.  Also, if you are in the essex county area any recommendations of a dr. would be great! Thanks!

Re: Do you get a yearly check up?

  • i do, and aim for annual but sometimes it's every other year, but no area doc to recommend since my PCP is in NYC
  • I do but like Melanie I aim for annual but it ends up less frequent. I don't like in your area though.

Also, my insurance does not cover well appts for adults, but I'm able to get them because we do them when I go into for an appt for another health condition and my doc just doesn't bill seperately

  • yes, I do blood work 2x a year.

  • I just started doing this last year.  We see Dr. Gupta in Cedar Grove, and both like her a lot (my husband and I).  She was recommended to me by Lisa on here...

  • I go to the ob/gyn yearly and she does her necessary tests however I go slightly less often to the regular doctor. I try and go yearly....but it takes so long to get an appointment (I couldn't make one for this year until April) and taking time off work is rough.
