Okay, with all the talk lately of tattoos and realizing I have birthday money left, I have been really wanting to get my tattoo. I am having a hard time finding exactly what I want, though, so I am looking for help.
First off, I want the birds on this necklace. Two big birds facing one small bird.
I want them to be sitting on a branch of a tree. I do not want a lot of detail, just really simple, almost like a dead tree or stick figure tree. (I am awful at describing what I want. I hope I am making sense.) So, I'm considering the following.
A) with the birds, obviously, instead of the owl
again, birds replace the owl, and no moon

C) The more sparse tree on the right

A and B would mean that I'd probably get the birds a little bigger, but C, I'd have them pretty small. I am getting it on the left side of my belly just under my ribs if that matters.

Re: tattoo help
"a" all the way! i still love-love this idea and might steal it one day. i also like the necklace-- maybe i'll settle for that? where's the necklace from?
also, just a tip- when i was "prepping" myself for my first tattoo, i watched lots of the tattoo shows- miami ink, la ink, etc... and they always suggest bringing in a "rough" idea of what you want, and let the artists help you develop what you have into what you really really want and love. anybody can trace, but you're bringing this to an artist, that way you can get something that's truly unique, too.

The necklace is from uncommon goods.
Thank you for the advice. I do have one other tattoo, and I did what you suggested. I took in a picture of what I wanted, and the tattoo artist sketched up what I ended up getting.
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
Ditto Sarack, although I voted A. I like the bottom tree on the right, but have it zoomed in to be just the section similar to option A.
FYI - that necklace is most likely a knock-off of a design by local Seattle artists Fig & Ginger. If you can spend the extra money, I'd recommend buying direct from the artist so that they get all the profit instead of just a percentage. (It looks to me like Uncommon Goods maybe buys from the artist directly.)
And here's the two parents, one baby version
let them sketch your idea out for you. it'll be great. love the idea!
