Did we talk about that cruise ship?
How scary is that? I just got off a cruise ship (Celebrity) on 1/5! I have been having nightmares about it since I heard the tragic news.
Re: Did we talk about that cruise ship?
Yeah, that is totally scary! The H was not really sold on a cruise but I wanted to go on another at some point, after that news story he said it confirms that he'd rather not go on one at all now.
Between that and the other one last year that got stranded off the coast of California w/o power, the H says no way. I might be cruiseless now unless I go without him, which sucks. But back to reality, those poor folks who died, got injured, and are still missing.... my heart goes out to them and their families, it's just heartbreaking.
This woman from our area was on it and in a television interview she said along with the ship went all their money and documentation. They contacted the US embassy and they were able to finally get them back to the states.

I'm a bit obsessed with this story for some reason.
That captain sucks majorly...he's a total tool. How scary that would be to be on that cruise ship...ugh. I already have a fear of drowning, and seeing this disaster has further cemented my decision to never go on a cruise. I mean, I know it's not likely that something like that will happen, but still.
This made me so angry! It was his fault in the first place and he jumps ship (literally).
