If you had an epidural, do you ever get pain?

And I mean years later in the spot where the needle went in. I swear that I feel a little discomfort in that spot from time to time. Today I feel it when I bend forward. I wonder if it's psychosomatic or if I maybe have a bit of arthritis there.

If I touch the spot, it feels weird..not comfortable.

Not from my epi with Alexis... but the one with Lucas I can pinpoint the spot - sometimes it feels weird/itchy.  Thought I was just a weirdo!

for the first six months yes, definitely. i thought i was imagining it!

i havent noticed it in awhile though.

i have had 1 epidural and multiple spinals for various reasons - and have no issues.

With M I had a huge bruise for a few weeks. After that no issues. With S I had the epidural that nearly killed me but as soon as it was out all was well.

I've never felt anything there. I'm sorry you still have pain.

I've had two. The week after I had my second I started getting these spasms and pains in my spine. I called my Dr and said it was from my epi. He then informed me it was nowhere near the spot and that I probably just have a pinched nerve. He gave me muscle relaxers, but I never took them

I get that weird itchy feeling from time to time.  I didn't when I had it with my oldest but I do this time.  It's lessened though as time goes by.

Yes - after 5 years, I still get a twinge now and then depending on how I bend or turn or whatever. 

Funny - just today it happened, actually, and I remember thinking that I hadn't felt it in awhile and wondered if it was normal.  Thanks for posting.

Yes, and it started almost a year after my first birth.  The pain seemed to radiate from the epidural puncture site.
