Puppy prayers

My poor little labradoodle is at the emergency vet. It is a long story, but basically I came home from a weekend away to a dog that had bloody urine, stark white gums, and was completely lethargic. Once I got him to the regular vet and they did testing, he was only at 14% of his normal blood capacity. They had me go straight to the emergency vet.Once he was there they put him on fluids and did a blood transfusion. His blood counts have been going up and he is doing considerably better.

To make matters worse the petsitting company is completely backing up their petsitter. How is it okay that a pet had bloody urine and stark white gums and the pet sitter never noticed? Not to mention a completely lethargice 8 month old puppy. I really wish that I would have received a call.

Thanks in advance for your good thoughts and prayers. It is also good to vent a bit. My husband is on work travel and I only get to talk to him once a day. I had to tell him all of this on his birthday...blech. He totally gets a birthday redo!
