Katie has been a terrible teether since 3 months- she drooled excessively for 6 months straight, constantly had to have a bib on, etc, She finally got her first tooth 3 weeks ago and another just broke through yesterday. However, she now wakes up throughout the night and seems to be in so much pain. We tried tylenol (well, the store brand stuff) and that doesn't seem to last that long.
Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. Jimmy and I are definitely lacking some serious sleep but we can't help but feel sorry for her, ![]()
FWIW, she's fine during the day- it's just at night where she wakes up screaming. (this all started the night before the first tooth came through)

Wyatt is going through the same thing, he just cut another tooth this morning. It seems as though just as we start to get him into nice sleeping habits, something new comes along. The past couple of nights (despite giving him tylenol) he has been up 4 or 5 times at night in pain.
I really don't have any advice besides 'this too shall pass'. Sorry
Motrin, motrin, motrin. It has always worked much better than tylenol on Maggie and it lasts longer too. I use the target brand, she always liked that one best flavorwise for some reason.
I hoe the rest of teething goes quickly for you and her!!
I know the time is just flying by! I try to pop on here and there- it's just hard bc TB is blocked at work. Here are some pictures- hard to believe she'll be a year soon!
DITTO!!!!
It is all done by weight. Motrin can be given at 12lbs per the chart I got from our pedi. I hope it works for you, tylenol never did anything for Maggie.
Tes! She just wants me to hold her until she falls asleep. I def think I need to work harder to get her to fall asleep on her own too- but add teething into the mix and it's a nightmare.
Ok that's great to know- thank you! I am going to run and get some after work then.
Is she crying when you lay her flat at nap time? If she is crying a lot when being laid flat I would get her checked out for an ear infection. She might be teething too though. Could be a combo! Good luck momma, teething is NO fun!
