I have an interview for an internal position tomorrow morning. My company's dress code is weird...some accounting depts on my floor wear jeans everyday and others only do jeans on Friday with a business casual dress code the rest of the week (this is mine and the potential new dept's dress code). Would you still wear a full suit to this interview? My initial thought was to do some grey straight-leg slacks with a navy blue ruffle-y shirt and a mustard yellow cardigan over it - an outfit that I've worn to work before.
If it matters, the interview is with the direct manager, his manager, a manger from a different acct'g group (the jeans only group, actually) and someone from HR....all of whom I have a pretty friendly relationship with.
Re: WWYD - work related
I'd wear a dressier outfit, office pants, button down shirt and a blazer. I guess at that rate, you may as well wear a suit!
Good luck tomorrow!

That sounds like a mighty fine problem to have. Woot!

I'm actually with Liz on this one. When I was looking at an internal position, I was planning on going in a dressier-than-normal business casual outfit, but not a full on suit. I was also quite friendly with the manager that was over the dept, and I figured I knew what I was going into. I just wanted to look a little more done up than usual.
