Choosing a pediatrician and feeling overwhelmed...
I need to choose one ASAP because the girls are coming home in the next few weeks (cue the paralyzing fear!). I have a list of recs from my OB, but I don't really know where to start. Do most people do the whole interview process, or just pick one based on other peoples recommendations? And if anyone has a rec for the Highlands Ranch area I would love it! TIA.
Re: Choosing a pediatrician and feeling overwhelmed...
I didn't interview any, and went off of a glowing recommendation from a trusted friend. I've been very happy with our pedi so far, they are great with phone questions, have gotten us in same day and always answer all my questions.
We go to Greenwood Pediatrics at Yosemite and County Line (a little north on Yosemite). We see Dr. Dan Feiten and love him, and his NP Clare.
I (and several others) go to Littleton Pediatrics and love them! They are at County Line and Broadway. No charges for after-hours calls to the nurse's line and they have a "no sick child goes unseen" policy. I see Dr. Gin routinely but know others who see Dr. Kyriazi, Dr. Rosenbaum, Dr. Bublitz and Dr. Snelling there. We've been happy with all the drs there. Phone is 303.791.9999.
ETA: I interviewed 2 groups -- 1 at Littleton Hospital that my OB/GYN recommended but I didn't like their charging $5 for each after-hours call to the nurse's line (dude, blend it in somewhere but don't make me think twice about calling about my kid's health). Littleton Peds was the other one I interviewed. Started off with Kyriazi but switched to Dr. Gin after 2 weeks because we clicked with him a lot more -- he is a super nice and easygoing guy!

Littleton Pediatrics is where we go. They have a HR location, we go to the Ken Caryl office but the docs are great at both.

I don't know where you live, but I'm happy people are recommending Greenwood Peds for 2 reasons. 1. I've heard great things about them. 2. I have a month long rotation there sometime after June 1st as a sort of PA residency.
hope all is well. you're a rockstar!

Ditto, except I know Dr. Dan personally so it was no question for us! His son went to school with my 15 yr old DD from K through 8 grade.
Same here.
Love her!
