kindle fire cover- patterns?

are there any free patterns for kindle fire covers out there?  I'm particularly interested in a book style.
My mom agreed to make me one and I'd like to find a free pattern out there.

  • There are tons of "old style" kindle cover tutorials that you could modify measurements for the fire. Just Google "kindle cover tutorial" & you should see a bunch. The problem you might have with the book style is that the corners of the screen might get covered by the elastic holders. I would also be concerned about the strength/security of the elastic bc the fire is MUCH heavier than regular kindles. it would suck if one corner failed and the fire fell & broke. (sorry for crap formatting & lack of links, I'm on my iPad)
