People watching at my (new) house

We moved into our home at the end of July when of course all the trees were filled with leaves. We back to a nature trail with a nice big backyard which was probably the biggest reason we bought the house. Lots of space for entertaining and lots of privacy. Now that all the leaves and vines are bare, we see all kinds of life walking the trail. Lately there have been horses, of course tons of dogs, classes from DD's elementary school and just now what I assume to be Columbine's track or x-country team out for some training. The trail is on the other side of a creek below our yard so there is still some privacy, but I love that so many people use and enjoy one of our favorite parts of living here. Pilar even went on her first sled ride (um, ride while I pulled) back there this year!

My beautiful girls: Hadley 9.28.06, Emmerson 11.29.08 and Pilar 2.07.11, born premature at 33.3 weeks.

  • Oh my, the cuteness!  The way you described it makes me want to be your neighbor!  Being that close to a trail is one of my ideals in our next home.
  • Love that pic! adorable!

  • We back to an open space/trail area too. The craziest thing I've seen out there is a guy on a non-motorized scooter with between 6 and 8 Huskies pulling him. It's so cool. I'm not sure if they're harnessed or what but I joke that they're training for the Iditarod.
