Okoboji??

Hi ladies, I am from the Omaha board... I know Des Moines is not close to Okoboji, but was curious if anyone knew anything about it.

We are looking for a good place to stay for a family with toddlers and another family has older teens?! We are open to anything... we have campers or we can do hotels, rentals, etc... We'd prefer nothing too pricey and are not too picky on what we need.

I have not been there since I was a kid so dont have a lot of knowledge on it.

I have vacationed for a week every summer in a timeshare at Village East and stayed in cabins owned by family and friends. Village East often has timeshare owners that "sell" their week back to the resort so they can be rented out to non-owners if you are looking for non-hotel room type vacation. The timeshares are nice because you get a full kitchen, living room, bedrooms and multiple bathrooms! Also there are TONS of rental properties. Many people in the Omaha area own cabins and houses in Boji that they rent out. Many of the houses are designed to sleep lots of people.
