Anyone submitting an APB? Or do you have in mind what placements you want?
I really like my Children's Museum Overnight, so I think I will do that again. I'd also like to try the Chinquapin school book club.
I thought about submitting an APB for something financial, to use my CPA skills but I'm not really sure. I like the freedom of just doing my 5 overnights, 4 meetings, 1 SET and that's it! No weekly or monthly duties.
PAGAS, didn't you get BEAR buying this year? How did you like that? Shopping + credit card rewards + getting reimbursed isn't a bad deal at all!
Re: JLH-ers
Ha. I just posted in the other thread. I'm APBing it again and hope I get one of my first 3 choices.
I won't lie my last placement was tough and demanding, but I really enjoyed it.
I moved my discussion to the other thread, I didn't see it when I posted this.
My placement is not demanding at all (the modeling was more than this) but now that Georgia is my only "job" and will be in MDO, I am ready to get more involved again.
I know it's been posted before, but how does the Junior Leage work?
You pay your admittance fee, and then you are able to chose your volunteer activities? Something tells me there are specific jobs a first year must do and I am okay with that as long as they are not during business hours. TIA
@jmo2187 This gives a good overview of the process:

I was a BEAR buyer this year. I love it. I wish I could do it again. I am not sure what pref group is this year, but I know it isn't me.
So Tasty, So Yummy
You have to be referred by 3 (I think, maybe 4, I forgot) before you're allowed to pay the admittance fee.
You don't get to choose your work, per se, you give your preferences. You might or might not get what you want. i've always gotten my top choice, most of my friends have not.
The first year is about double the work, with more limited areas to do your work. I did all of mine on Saturdays (1/2 day 3-4 days a month for 6 months) and evenings (3 hours once a week for six months).
It's going to be my first choice pref.
I just got asked at the last minute to apply for some APBs, so I'm looking over those. We shall see...
