3 things for you this morning
1) I tried the Pilates tower class last night and while the instructor was very good, I didn't like the workout. It was not challenging enough for me and I found it to be quite boring. The instructor suggested that maybe I try a more advanced class next time.
2) My buddy got her wedding dress last night! It was so much fun to be there and experience that with her!!
3) What was your something blue? My BM's and mom blew it and didn't do that for me : (
Re: 3 things for you this morning
1) Look at you! Movin' on up! (That's annoying you wasted time there though)
2) Exciting!!
3) How'd your BMs/mom blow it?
My keepsake garter had a blue bow, I had blue underwear, and I wore TOMS (shoes) that had blue on the back for their logo
I've always thought pilates was boring. Is there a Piloxing class near you? I bet you'd like that since it's a much faster pace.
My garter was my something blue
No Piloxing, but I have taken that class before at a fitness convention, it was great!
They straight up didn't do it.
Why didn't you just get something blue? (Trying not to seem bitchy, just curious) Do you think it's their responsibility?
Yes, I did think they would surprise me and take care of this, as this is our tradition. I had done it for my BM's when they got married and also for my sister.
I've never heard of this.
My toenails were painted blue.
Hm, maybe it is a regional thing because all of my friends had it happen this way also.
Okay, NOW I get it. And I'd be annoyed/sorta pissed if you did it for them and they didn't return the favor. Sorry.
I also had a keepsake garter my mom made, it had a blue band with lace from her wedding dress sewn around it.
That is so sweet!
An American Girl's Travels
I didn't intentially have anything blue and hadn't even thought about it until this second, but on the day of the wedding, my mom took a walk with me to the beach, handed me $100 (The bride slips it in the bottom of her shoe and she is supposed to have fortune for her marriage.) Then she handed me a white handkerchief with the word "bride" embroidered in it. Good thing too b/c I sure did need it.
ETA- now that I think about it, I "fought" with my mom on certain aspects of the wedding b/c I didn't want certain traditional aspects. That little lady snuck one over on me!
She also saved my layer of cake for our 1 year which I told people to throw out.
Neither pilates or yoga have ever really appealed to me. I've taken both classes, but I'm more of a mover and a shaker. I like to dance!
I wore my star sapphire ring on my right hand as my something blue. My dad gave it to my mom as a going-steady ring back in the day, and my mom gave it to me on my 18th birthday.
