  • Someone actually suggested a potty party for Matthew when he was being too stubborn to use the potty. No, thanks. LOL
  • II love that blogger
  • This is funny.  We did have a little "potty party" for Aidan, but it was just the three of us and a cupcake, lol.

No goodie bags with gift cards, no pee or poop colored favors.  Just a cupcake and 5 minutes of dancing to Lady Gaga.  ; )  If he held out any longer, though... who knows.

And no worries.  I'm good at laughing at myself.  = )

  • My college sex ed professor threw a "period party" for his daughter when she got it for the first time.  Hysterical.

    Damn..I missed out on that!

My sister (not her mom) and I sent my niece a sympathy card when she got her period.  She was so not amused.  That was about 15 years ago, I guess.

I think the period party is cool, but I am in sex ed.  Again, it would be me, Norah and a cupcake (hell, maybe even a pedicure) but still think it's nice to put a positive spin on periods.  Lord knows there's a ton of negative feelings about it, lol.

I agree that it's pretty cool...it's basically a celebration of womanhood.  Still found it hysterical though, probably because my father couldn't even bear to hear the word, let alone throw a party about it!
