Internet Bookmarks - question about copying them
I just got a new laptop at work. Is there a way to copy the Bookmarks from my old laptop so I can transfer them to the new one?
Re: Internet Bookmarks - question about copying them
For IE, I've always gone to the hard drive (C: in my case), clicked on users, then my user name and favorites is a folder. I save the folder on a jump drive and take it with me to my new computer.
Chrome has a way to merge your bookmarks with IE and then sync your google accounts to update chrome bookmarks automatically...I only wish there was a way to update back to IE for easier portability on machines that won't allow Chrome (like a new work computer).
IE go to file ->import export->export to a file
from there it's pretty easy. once you've saved the file of book marks, you can email it to yourself or copy it to a flash drive and then do the same but choose import on the new computer.
