be warned. i *** about bringing kids to a dr appt at the end of this post. so if you are going to get all sensitive, don't bother reading.
This patient called me Wednesday afternoon saying she wants an appointment for thursday to schedule surgery on friday.
i'm sorry, what?
I try really hard to accomdate all of our patients, but this girl is about to send me over the edge w/ her craziness.
She told me she was going to get labs done at 7am (this morning). We needed these labs before her appt today at 11:45. She went at 10:40. She comes in at 10:50 to say she just went to get labs and that they are going to go downstairs and wait for her appt at 1145.... 1145 comes and goes, no labs, no patient. she shows back up at 1230..
i hate to tell her but at this point i doubt she's going to be having surgery tomorrow.
This girl has reaffirmed for me that im against taking toddlers to Dr. appt (that aren't for the toddler). Her Dad is here w/ her.. so obviously she has a babysitter. i'm about to lose my effing mind listening to this kid crying & a damn toy sing.
I get that sometimes you dont have a baby sitter, fine, bring your kid. but this isn't the case. take the kid outside.
im not a kid person, obviously, i don't work at a pediatrician for a reason.
