Did you have BMs trouble at your wedding back in the day?

Re: Did you have BMs trouble at your wedding back in the day?

  • No.  My bridesmaids were (and still are) respectful adults who were (and still are) genuinely happy for me.

  • imagedirtyred:
I didn't have any bridesmaids, and therefore, no problems.

    Same here.

But don't worry - if you do a really awesome job, then maybe your friends will post here to tell you how awesome you are.  Maybe you'll feel better then.  Otherwise, bygones, and let it go.

  • 2 of my BMs (both family members) were competitive with each other regarding their role (i.e. both of them wanted to be the MOH) and who got to do what.  It created some drama when planning the wedding.  For example, they would be trying to plan the bachelorette but couldn't agree on an idea, so they would both email/call me to vent about the other one.  My third bridesmaid was no drama at all but she was busy with other life things that were going on, so she didn't have time to be the peacekeeper.   However, they worked things out and were both awesome in the couple weeks leading up to the wedding and on the day itself.

  • I had 3 bridesmaids, two aunts and a best friend, and a bridesman, my brother. My two aunts were AMAZING. I had the most elegant, beautiful bridal shower and a very fun, laid back bach. party. My friend was the only issue. She didn't have money for her dress, so we had to front it to her. She also was the only one who could make my final dress fitting and swore to me that she'd remember how to bustle my very complicated bustle and that she didn't need to take notes or pictures. Well, come wedding day she couldn't remember and my bustle looked terrible. I cringe and get a little angry every time I look at the pictures and see what it looked like...ugh LOL
