we just got the appointment for the meeting next month to register Ava for kindergarten!
Re: where did the time go?
oh no way! i'm sorry!/yay!
Same here
And...my baby is turning one next month!
No way. Happy/sad.
I can't even think about this stuff. I got teary when I had K's daycare parent/teacher conference call earlier today and they were talking about her moving up to the next room in the spring. School is going to put me over the emotional edge.
haha - i made daycare hold Sam BACK in the baby room for an extra month because I was not ready for her to move up. I got all teary telling the director and head teacher that i needed her to stay. i had no logical explanation other than i thought she was too small. They think I'm a little looney and probably unstable. At least kindergarten gave me from now until September to prepare my emotional self!
Ha! I love it. I tried to do the same thing with K. I knew it was 100% about ME not being ready and her teacher had to talk me down a few times. I didn't want to leave her (the teacher) and I wasn't ready for her to be in with the bigger kids. She's probably my only kid and she's growing up so damn fast as it is. I'm happy she's thriving but at the same time her independence makes me teary.
I'm starting to prepare myself now and kindergarten isn't for another 3 years (she's an October baby so she'll start on the late side).
