So would you go on the water slide?

Re: So would you go on the water slide?

  • I wasnt outraged like some people, but I just dont think its something you have to do while PG. It isnt worth the risk IMO. I stopped going in the ocean while PG when it was high tide or big waves. I was afraid I would get knocked down from behind and while I missed it that summer, I got over it.
  • it says it's an inflatable slide off the boat. i doubt it's HUGE or something you could flip over on unless you were trying to do so, ya know?

  • No, just doesn't seem like a great idea. I'm not someone who stops my entire life because of pregnancy, but the water slide is kind of a no brainer.

  • on that, probably. I don't really count that as a real water slide. However, we went to atlantis while I was PG. My dr told me absolutely NO when I asked him about water slides.

  • A big twisty slide in a waterpark?  no

An inflatable slide off a yacht?  yes

I'm sure I did much worse in swimming pools in a vain attempt to flip my breech baby.  I'm sure the lifeguards still talk about that crazy pregnant woman doing handstand and flips in the pool.

  • I don't really see it as a big deal. It's padded, it's not anything that's really going to have your heart racing, it looks like a direct slide down, I'm guessing into the ocean that will last all of 2 seconds. it's a little steep for my tastes, but it doesn't look like anything that would be dangerous. Would I do roller coasters, or any rides that would swing me around (which would make me puke more than any harm to baby) or thrill rides that scare the crap out of me, no. The summer I got pregnant, I was way too pukey to even consider water slides anyway.

  • The picture won't load on my phone so I can't say for sure, but I think if it's as described I would.  How far along is she?  I went to sesame place with my little brothers when I was pregnant with Josie and I was at least 6 months pregnant.  I remember going on all the rafting things with them as well as the slides.
