please recommend your blender

i am still using a crappy cheap blender i bought myself when i was first living on my own. more than a decade later, it's time to replace this sucker! it takes forever to make smoothies for my kids, and it couldn't even puree soup the other day :(

recommend your wonderful blender under $100 please

Re: please recommend your blender

  • We bought the Ninja Prep Master a few months ago and LOVE it!  We use it predominantly to make smoothies, since my son loves them.  It does a great job on the ice and frozen bananas.  It also does a great job on chick peas.  My DH makes chick pea patties.  Those are the only things I can specifically remember us making.  It was about $50 at Sears.

  • Can't remember the price but it's a Breville blender from William Sonoma.  Blends up everything.  I killed my Kitchen Aid blender when I was pregnant making crushed iced / smoothies for 9 months.   The Breville has held up great and it's a nice big size.
