Let's hear em ladies! (okay, it's not Friday here yet but it is for most of you by now
)
Mine: I was so glad DH went to bed at 8:00 tonight. I love having one on one time with minibini and it's also nice to watch whatever I want on tv!
Re: FFFC
If it makes you feel better, I'm PT WAHM, which definitely has its perks but also lots of disadvantages. Lack of adult conversation being one of them, hence my presence here.
I slack majorly at work. The past two days I have put in more then my usual effort and the results have been astounding. I wish that I liked my job enough (or had the work ethic) to put this effort in all the time.
It's cold and rainy... I just let H take the dog to the park w/o me (we usually go together on fridays). I didn't even offer to walk her. Bad pet-owner, bad wife.
To make it worse, I'm contemplating changing into flannel pjs and making myself some hot tea. Yeah, it's 5pm on a Friday, what of it
?
The competitiveness at work drives me crazy sometimes. Most of the teachers teach two different grades, so they see a grade every other day. My subject is the only one kids have everyday, and it makes us (us being the group that teaches this subject) targets of resentment from some of the other teachers. It's weird, since we don't make the schedule and we certainly don't act like our class is more important than theirs.
And if we try to organize a meeting among our subject teachers that doesn't involve all the other subjects? Forget it, massive dirty looks. And you'd think having meetings within your subject would make sense.

On the subject of teaching...
I've been looking for a job for awhile now, a family friend (who is a teacher) called me today about doing private one on one sessions with a woman she knows' son. At first I flat out said NO. Then she kind of talked me into it.
I am qualified to teach English as a foreign language, but I seriously HATE teaching. (didn't enjoy it in Asia and absolutely hated teaching at a private high school here).
She will get back to me with more details, but I really hope that the student's schedule conflicts with me picking M up from school and the days that M has off.
