I keep forgetting to ask you how YH's job is going these days. Have things changed for the better like he was promised?
Re: PSU
You're so sweet to ask!
It's about the same, poor guy. Still traveling to BOS every other week. He's lost a few people as well; one guy based out of BOS, and then last week he received notice from one of the guys out of the PA office (that's going to be a huge loss). The only thing that materialized was the money which I guess is good, but I feel bad about how stressed he is and how much he works.
He spent a lot of time sending out resumes over the weekend, so fingers crossed that something comes along that would be a great move for him. He's still happy he didn't take the job in Philly. We were just talking about it over the weekend. It would have been more of a way to get out of where he is now, but it was not on the path of where he ultimately wants to be (his dream is to be a CIO).
As much as it's frustrating that he has a ton of experience, certifications and education yet the openings in his field are slim (lots of entry level and maybe the next step up, but very little Manager/Director type positions), I know he's trying to be happy that he has a job.
Oh geez! Well, I am glad that his paycheck has changed, but too bad the rest hasn't as they had planned.
I hope that he can find a job that appreciates him and makes you both happy.
This exactly! And thanks for thinking of us! xoxo
