Penny Pie

Hey there,

Sorry to not respond earlier.  I have been out with the flu for the last 2 days (temp got to 102!).

For your ?, actually, I was not sick with Gwen, I was sick with Kellen.  It is just that Kellen has croup for the last 2 weeks- ugh!.

For my delivery with Kellen, they were fine with me, as long as I wasn't running a fever.  They did want me to nurse often, to get my milk to come in, and protect him by building up some immunities.  I am sure you will need to do the same.

As far as keeping the babe from getting it, I have tried keeping my face away from Gwen, washing my hands a ton, and lysoling things.  Unfortunately, the germs get transferred in my house like wildfire.  Gwen got her first cold at 3.5 weeks.  It took her a while to get better, but she eventually did (then got second cold at 7 weeks and is still holding on to a stuffy nose from that).
I think the best thing you can do is try to keep your face away if you are coughing or sneezing, get yourself a crapload of antibacterial gel and know that these kids are more resilient than we think!

Good luck and let us know when it happens!!!
