I just had my interview for the job I really really wanted with the mail order pharmacy for United Healthcare. During the whole thing, the interviewer kept saying "perfect" to all my answers as she took notes, and at the end she told me that she was going to highly recommend continuing the hiring process to the hiring manager, and that I should hear from him on Monday to schedule the 2nd interview. I've never had a job where a second interview wasn't just a formality, so I really think i've got the job!
Thank you for all your T&P's, this is literally a dream opportunity for me! It pays less than I thought, it's only 10.29 an hour instead of 13 or 14 like I thought, but it's still more than i'm making at my current job. Not to mention it's all the things I love about my current job, without all the things I don't like. Plus there's a lot more hours to be had, plus overtime, and excellent benefits for dirt cheap, so I'm literally set.
Re: The T&P's worked as always!!!
Still be prepared for the second interview, though. I've had plenty of interviews where the second meeting is even more important than the first because you're generally speaking to someone higher up in the company.
But I do hope you're right and that you're going to get the job!

The sun and moon and all their light.
I just want to be the only girl, you love all your life.

Thanks for the reminder!
I'm fully intending to take it seriously, no matter what comes up in the second interview. But the fact that I have a second interview at all tells me i've definitely got an in. There's also the fact that the interviewer said that she strongly believes i'll be a perfect fit for this job, and that she's going to highly recommend me for hire to the hiring manager. Some of the things she was telling me about as well, the background check details, the drug test, asking how i'd prefer to do the background check process (put my 2 weeks in and then spend 2 weeks doing the background check with them, or doing the process during my last 2 weeks at Walgreens), talking to me about scheduling preferences, etc. I'm really thinking i've got it.
