Update and thanks on DS and his new school. :)

This is the end of DS's first week at his new school, and it's been a total success.  He's loved it, loves his teachers (even though 2/3 are temporary), and has been in a fabulous mood every day.  No whining about not wanting to go to school, and he actually asks at night if he gets to go again the next day.  He's not really talky about what they're doing there, but I can tell from his mood he's loving it and the extra time at home.

Thanks for all the encouragement and kind words about making the change!

  • Glad it's going well!  And it sounds like some of the K-enrollment stress will go away with this school, right?

  • I have to say that I've been really impressed with it. All the kids seem to really enjoy themselves, which I think speaks volumes about the class. E is also really excited about it and can't wait to go in the morning, hooray!! All she'll tell me is about the playground, but hopefully when she learns more names she'll tell us more stories.

  • So glad it's going well! FWIW this is my DS's second year of preschool and the first year it was like pulling teeth to get him to tell me anything... this year he has been much more talkative about it. So I think some of the quietness is just the age...

That's exactly how L is too. He loves the airplane, but when I asked if he played with any friends, he told me he didn't know. ;) either way, he's psyched.

  • I'm so happy to hear this! A starts a week from tomorrow.
