What shows were you really into (shows that you LOVED), but lost interest in? And why? (I know this has come up in some discussions before)
For me -
I used to love Survivor, but now I generally find it irritating. I think once "Johnny Fairplay" lied on the show, it kind of changed. I mean, that is the nature of people (to do what they can to win), and I even liked it when people were looking for immunity idols the minute they arrived at camp, but I guess I've just gotten tired of it after being on for so long.
The Office - once Jim and Pam got married, and the office staff changed up a little, plus I knew Steve C was leaving, I was basically disinterested
Lost - I loved the first couple seasons, but then when they weren't answering questions and just making everything more complicated, I was over it. I didn't even watch the finale, I had DH give me a synopsis, and I felt like I didn't miss anything.
I liked American Idol the first few seasons - and I loved Kelly Clarkson - but then it felt like it got too popular, the auditions were too outrageous, and it feels like the winners are sometimes the product of popularity. I actually still watch it, but only once they are in the top 12 or 10.
I am losing interest in Housewives of NYC. If all they do is fight, especially with Jill on the show, I might not bother watching it any more.
Re: What shows have you lost interest in?
Our two girls - Chenoa and Maddie
The Office
Grimm (already lost)
Top Chef is iffy, I feel it's too scripted now.
Jersey Shore
The Walking Dead--haven't lost yet, but they drug out that whole Sophia thing so much that it made me not even want to watch it. They redeemed themselves with her being a zombie, but unless the mid season premiere does something amazing I might lose total hope.
I used to like Survior and watched the first few seasons until I saw one of them hunting a wild pig for food and killing chickens.. I thought it was ridiculous that they would do that for a tv show and I found it offensive. Also when they all started wearing their underpants/bras on the show I got turned off. I don't need to see that.
I used to like American Idol but I am not interested in the type of music they play most of the time and the just got bored with it. I couldnt care less about JLO or the other guys.
All talk shows. - Once I realized it was just a reason for the celeb to promote the product and the stories they tell are rehearsed I lost interest. I only turn them on if there is a singer I really like on it.
Cougar Town- the acting is so forced and unnatural to me
I am sure there are more but thats all that comes to mind right now.
The Office-RIP Michael Scott. Not that I had high hopes after he was gone, but still.
90210
Gossip Girl, to a small extent
Desperate Housewives
American Idol
Survivor for me too.
The Office.
The Walking Dead. After 2 episodes of Sophie being lost, I just couldn't do it. It just moves TOO slow.
Grimm. I try, but I'm just not finding it engaging. I don't know that I really like the lead actor. he's just not quite right for the role.

I stopped watching Grey's and DH a number of seasons ago. It all got too outrageous. I slacked off American Idol a few seasons ago when Paula left and stopped watching altogether after Simon left.
I've been considering dropping The Office from my DVR list. I think I definitely will after this season. I'm close to dropping Glee too. I never thought I'd say that...all the freshness is gone from the show. I think I'm close to dropping New Girl and Up All Night too. They sit on my DVR forever before I halfheartedly watch them.
I can't get into Top Chef this season either. No one has really stood out, and a lot of the challenges are way too similar (chili and BBQ).
RHOA has been boring this season. Nene is off doing her own thing and Kim is settled down now. On the positive side, Jill was fired from RHONY along with Kelly, Alex, and Cindy. There will be a lot of new faces.
Honestly, the only shows I really look forward to these days are Parks & Rec, Downton Abbey, and Modern Family. I think it might be time to stop watching so much TV, LOL.
Glee
90210
American Idol
I don't even bother recording any of them on my DVR anymore.

Historically, X-Files was like that for me. I used to LOVE that show, and by the end I could barely pay attention to the series finale. Most of the other shows I LOVED were in the "brilliant-but-cancelled" category so I never got time to get tired of them!
For past shows I used to like and then didn't, Lost and Scrubs were like that. Scrubs I stopped watching, Lost I kept watching because I felt I had to but it was really irritating.
For current shows, House I'll still watch if it's on, but I don't look forward to it anymore. Grimm is the same, it just hasn't caught me. Project Runway I'll probably get sucked in once I start watching, but right now all the eps for this season are still on my DVR. How I Met Your Mother is starting to irritate me more than it amuses me too, I think they need to tie that up.
Seriously, I think they need to kill off Grimm and his girlfriend and just make it the show all about this guy. The only time I'm interested is when he's onscreen. Grimm and LadyGrimm are just flat as cardboard.
I used to watch a lot of TV and I've given up most of it. The list:
Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Greys, Private Practice, 90210, almost all reality TV, CSI Miami...
I'm sure there are more and I can't remember them.
ETA: Glee.

You lost interest so much so that you missed that Brothers & Sisters ended.

American Idol is the biggest one. I used to love this show and really look forward to it on the nights it aired. I was so loyal for so many years but I am done with it.
Others: Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, 90210

Most of reality TV
I used to be a HUGE tv junkie. My DVR was constantly going. I've gotten rid of cable (mostly, but still have HBO.)
The ones I quit watching: Dancing with the Stars, Glee, Biggest Loser, The Office, Grey's, both Boardwalk Empire and True Blood started losing me this season but the finales pulled me back in, Up All Night
The ones I still love or are new addictions: Modern Family, Downton Abbey, Revenge, Game of Thrones, Parks and Rec, American Horror Story, Breaking Bad. I think that's it. LOL
I agree with the pp about Grimm and the werewolf. I love that character!
Haha, I did know it ended but not until well after the fact.

I may be notorious for this.
The Office - when Jim and Pam just seemed smug, the stories weren't fresh anymore, and the minor castmembers that I loved (Creed, Stanley, etc.) weren't featured as much anymore...this was before Carell left.
Big Bang Theory - when it seemed like every single storyline was "What if we did ___ with Sheldon?" Although Bernadette and Amy have helped some.
House - after that whole cop stalking House for taking drugs thing
30 Rock - it became a chore to watch (although I've heard it's gotten better)
HIMYM - characters became cartoons of themselves, Robin wasn't a strong woman anymore, and Ted was douchey in a not funny way
Chuck - probably after Chuck and Sarah got together and he lost the Intersect
Bones - I got tired of the strong hinting that Bones & Booth would get together, because I really only liked them as friends. Also I couldn't get over the loss of Zack
Modern Family - Claire is so incredibly shrill, it makes any plot with her really unpleasant for me. Also many of the storylines would be right at home in a 1980s laugh-track sitcom.
Dexter - we were only into the 2nd season when we gave up because I didn't like any other character but Dexter.
The Office
Desperate Housewives
Project Runway
Private Practice
Gossip Girl
Amazing Race
Brothers and Sisters

Watch season 4 with John Lithgow. It was amazing.
True Blood. I watched the first two seasons and started on the third and then just didn't care anymore.
Top Chef. My problem is the oversaturation of this show. It's ALWAYS on. Top Chef Desserts, Top Chef Masters, Top Chef regular... Other shows I complain that it's too long between seasons. But with Top Chef I feel like there was never a break. So I just got sick of it.
Glee. I don't know why I lost interest. I still really like watching the musical numbers. But I only watch it very irregularly now.
I've heard that...but see, I'd still have to deal with Deb, Rita, Laguerta, Angel, etc. I strongly dislike all of the other characters.
The Office
American Idol (I used to watch the auditions and everything, but will probably only watch when they have the top 24 or whatever)
90210 (they need to fire their writers, like 2 years ago)
One Tree Hill (got way too unrealistic, haven't watched in 2 years). The music constantly being plugged in each scene got way annoying)
HIMYM (just got eh, for me)
Definitely American Idol.
Desperate Housewives.
I haven't seen Top Chef in a while now.
Grey's Anatomy.
