Dexter heart issue update!!
So after the diagnosis of a Grade 3 murmur, we headed off to the cardiologist today.
By means of stethoscope, he said the murmur sounded like it was in an area most common for Pulmonic Stenosis.
An ultrasound later showed he was thankfully wrong. Turns out our little Dex has SAS (Subaortic Stenosis) in the mildest form it can be. He talked about a whole lot of things but these are the key words/phrases I picked up on:
- Mild
- No problems with anesthesia
- Mild
- No medicine
- Mild
- Keep an eye on it after he turns a year
- Mild
- NO restrictions
- Mild
- Not worried
- Mild
- Will not change his quality of life, even if it gets a little worse as his heart continues to grow.
Woo. Freaking. Hoo.
Now...where is the vodka? Momma needs a drink after this last month of worry.
Here is he getting plenty of sleep last night...on the couch nonetheless as I stayed up worried and freaking out about this mornings appt. LOL
