Last July I wanted Mirena but my insurance said the device itself was not covered. Since it's $800+ I upped my 2012 flex spending and waited. Last month my doc called insurance and it IS covered. They called again this month because of the new year and it is covered.
So, I get it at no cost but now I have no flipping idea what we are goign to spend that much flex spending money on this year. lol. What over the counter stuff still qualifies? i want to say some contact lense solution. Anything else?
Re: Oh the irony
do you ever wear glasses? a new pair can be $400. i'd do new everyday glasses and new prescription sunglasses - and i'd probably get over $800 on that alone.
dental work is covered. maybe some orthodontist will take an $800 deposit for future use? lol!
and OTC doesn't work anymore - now you need a doctor's prescription to cover OTC. I'd be too embarrassed to ask my doctor for a script for bandaids and tylenol. and you would need to buy a lot to hit $800 anyway,
We added $800 to the amount we ALREADY planned to use. Sigh.
MH wears glasses though. He gets a pair free every year. LOL.
Our dental is covered 100% too.
But we don't have prescription coverage.
(And in case the universe is reading this, I don't want my kids to get extra sick to make up for it. Thanks anyway).
